Dr. Anisman is a renowned cardiologist, having practiced full-time for 18 years in cardiology, as well as many years as a hospitalist prior to that. He brings extensive experience in case review, both as a clinician leader and as a reviewer for legal firms and insurance companies across the country. His expertise is primarily in general cardiology, and includes active board certifications in cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology - as well as clinical experience with pacemaker implantation and monitoring, and cardiac catheterization. His expertise in general cardiology makes him a valuable asset when evaluating heart failure, coronary artery disease, valvular disease, arrhythmia management (such as atrial fibrillation), hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and many other areas. He considers his primary value in case review to be his skill in identifying information that is often missed in early reviews; this information can often lead to significant changes in legal strategy.

He is currently working full-time at Northwestern Vermont Medical Center as Medical Director of Cardiology and Service Chief for Internal Medicine, actively seeing patients four days a week and overseeing a busy practice. He obtained his MD from the University of Vermont College of Medicine (subsequently renamed Larner College of Medicine) and his cardiovascular disease fellowship from Worcester Medical Center in Massachusetts.

He enjoys legal work - he considers it an interesting challenge, and a fascinating change of pace - and a way to evaluate medical care from a different perspective.
